Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. James filmed the Rushbearing for us this year and we couldn't be happier with the result. He first worked here as a teenager collecting glasses, so he knows the pub and the event inside out, and it shows in the film. He was easy to have around on a busy day, got the drone up without any fuss, and turned the edit round quickly.

The video has had an amazing impact on our socials. Views and shares are way up on anything we've posted before, and we've had people coming in saying they saw it online. If you need a video for your pub, venue or event, I'd recommend James and Rainbow Trout Films without hesitation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We worked with James and Rainbow Trout Films on the Calderdale Remembers: Storm Eva commemorative films, marking ten years since the 2015 floods. James handled sensitive community stories with real care and professionalism, putting contributors at ease and capturing their experiences beautifully. The finished films were shown at the West Yorkshire Flood Summit and have been a valuable resource for our flood resilience work. Reliable, thoughtful and a pleasure to work with - highly recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Five stars are not even enough to give the team at Rainbow Trout Films! I have been fortunate to work with James and his professional crew for the past year developing on-demand videos for schools. I remember the first time I called James to explain my vision for the training videos. He seemed to know exactly what I wanted and took the project on board with enthusiasm. I could not be more proud of the results. James and his team went above and beyond to create more than what I hoped for.

The photos he sent are simply outstanding. I was impressed not only with the speed of service but also with the amazing quality when I used my office printer. Thanks again James

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and work across the UK — including regular projects in London and the North West. Distance is rarely a barrier; get in touch and we'll talk through logistics.

How much does a video production cost?

It depends entirely on scope — from simple single-day edits to multi-day cinematic shoots. We offer flexible packages to suit different budgets, and the best way to get an accurate figure is a quick discovery call.

What's your typical turnaround time?

Most corporate and commercial edits are delivered within 2–3 weeks of filming, depending on complexity. Broadcast and Sky AdSmart projects follow a slightly longer schedule to allow for Clearcast approval.

Do you handle scriptwriting and storyboarding?

Yes — we can take a project from a rough idea all the way through concept development, scriptwriting and storyboarding, so nothing is left to guesswork on shoot day.

Can you work alongside our existing team or agency?

Absolutely. We regularly work independently, alongside in-house marketing teams, or in partnership with agencies — plugging in wherever we're needed, from full production to simple edits.

Rainbow Trout Films — your trusted partner for video production, small or large. Choose from flexible packages to suit your individual requirements.
